Dr. Masters starts writing in his notebook.
DR. MASTERS
Is she still there?
Jason hesitantly looks up. He no longer sees Kristen.
JASON
*Calmly*
N- no.
DR. MASTERS
And you say this is the young lady who was killed in your accident?
JASON
Yes. Kristen Waters...she was a sweet girl. Always so nice to my little Bella.
Tears start to fall from Jason’s eyes.
DR. MASTERS
That’s not just sadness you’re carrying. You’re harboring a lot of guilt. You’ll start to understand once you get that guilt out of your system.
INT. KITCHEN - CONTINUOUS
Jason looks over to see BELLA [Female; Pre-teen], his daughter, coming out of the kitchen.
JASON
Hi sweetie!
She catches a look at her father from the corner of her eye...but she walks past him and Dr. Masters, and into another room. Dr. Masters (who was writing in his pad) looks up at Jason...then over towards the room that Bella walked into...then back at Jason.
JASON
DR. MASTERS
I know you've been hesitant to talk about what happened...but I can't help you through this if I don't fully understand what happened that day.
Jason sighs...he looks at the table and notices Dr. Masters’ COFFEE MUG is empty. Clearly avoiding what Dr. Masters just said.
JASON
More coffee?
